Indonesia national team needed only a draw in this match, coach Nilmaizar surprises from the formation team. Nil Samsul Arif played for the first time. Bomber Persibo Bojonegoro the duet with Irfan. Changes also occur in the back line. Nile shifting Raphael Maitimo as a central defender to replace Revelation to be absent due to yellow card accumulation. The presence Samsul make front line squad "Garuda" increasingly sharp. Games just two minutes, Vendry Mofu almost scored with hard fired from outside the box. Unfortunately, the shot midfielder Semen Padang is still secured by Malaysia goalkeeper, Khairul Fahmi Che Mat. Not long after, Samson's turn to threaten the goalkeeper Malaysia. Damn it, his shot still failed to hit the target. Indonesia has a pretty golden opportunity in the 17th minute. Vendry provide breakthrough bait successfully mastered Irfan. As soon as the ball, Irfan fired a shot into the right side of the goal, but was blocked well by Fahrizal. Malaysia had succeeded in winning first in the 26th minute. Mahali cross Jasuli successfully converted Mohd Azamuddin Md Akil into goals. Three minutes later, goalkeeper Rev. Tri Nugroho re-pierced by a hard shot that is released Mahali Jasuli. Coach NilMaizar instantly play Andik. Several times the action of the mercurial midfielder Persebaya Malaysia's defense trouble. MALAYSIA BOOK SEMI BERTH IN THE AFF SUZUKI CUP ~ Just ... Posted: 01 Dec 2012 08:46 PM PST Mahali after beating Indonesian custodian Wahyu Tri Nugroho for the second goal[source: merdeka.com ] Malaysia gunned down Indonesia 2-0 in the final group B match of the 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup. The goals came from Azimuddin Akil after he volleyed home a crossing by Mahali Jasuli in the 26th minute. Mahali then turned goal scorer after he got a good lay-off from his Harimau Muda teammate, Wan Zack Haikal, and then netted the second goal in the 29th minute. With the win, Malaysia are placed second with Singapore topping the group after making a comeback from 1-2 down to beat Laos 4-3 in another group B match held in the Shah Alam stadium. Malaysia will meet Group B champions Thailand who are having a good run in this competition with three wins out of three matches. Meanwhile Singapore will meet the Phillippines after they recorded a historical win against 2008 champion, Vietnam in their final group match. Malaysia which was panned by fans due to the 0-3 lost to Indonesia seems to found their game. Beating spirited Laos 4-1 in the second game, Malaysia silent their critics with the win against the Indonesians. However, Malaysia has a mountain to climb to defend their title when they will meet the high-riding Thailand in the semi. It seems that Malaysia is trying to write a similar script like what they did in the 2010. They lost to Indonesia in the first game 1-5, drew 0-0 with Thailand and beat Laos 5-1. In the semis, Malaysia beat the then defending champion Vietnam and went to win the cup by beating Indonesia 4-2 on aggregate. Indonesia seems to emulate the success of Singapore with several naturalized players. However, with 3 naturalized Dutch players, Indonesia failed to lived up to their fans expectations. Van Beukering (a lil overweight I should say), Raphael Maitimo and Cussell, were no better than their local counterparts and Indonesians should wonder why were these kind of players should be naturalized. With their football administrations bickering and two conflicting top flight football leagues, Indonesia should first settle their internal football management and develop their own football talent. One Indonesian player who sparks within this tournament is Andik Vermansyah. Although physically small, Andik has the speed and skill to drive his team to win games. Prior to the AFF Cup, Andik had a two week training stint with Major Leagur Soccer club, D.C United. All the best Indonesia. |
